Since early 2004, I have been a full-time assistant professor at the UCLA School of Medicine. I work primarily in the General Internal Medicine Division at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (a large county medical facility). Currently, I teach medical students, interns and residents in our program and am involved in a number of academic projects.
I have been in private practice with several multispecialty groups and have worked as a hospitalist both for a group and as a solo practitioner before assuming my current position at UCLA.
The views of this blog are my own and do not represent those of UCLA, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center or the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.

That's a shame...Dr Ford offers his time, his expertise, and his insights, and he gets comment spam in return.
No wonder you sad sacks post anonymously.
I'm sure sure Dr Ford is too nice to say this, but I'm not:
For shame, morons!
Thanks Hank,
And I'm not THAT nice. I'm actually pretty comfortable deleting extraneous comments.
John
Hmmm...I didn't see the spam but I assume you must have gotten the spam comments from that guy who says how much he likes your blog and then plugs his many commercial type blogs? If those were the ones, we're lucky he doesn't persist.
A while back, I had some guy that was spamming my Comments by e-mailing them somehow. I couldn't delete them fast enough. In desperation I found that, by deleting the post he was sending the comments to, I could stop his spamming.
Wonder how he did that? I see there's supposed to be a way to e-mail your posts to your blog instead of having to write them online. I tried it a few times but the posts never showed up. It would be nice to be able to write blog posts in MS Word, with the benefit of a spell checker and all, and then e-mail the post to the site. I suppose I could just use Word and then copy and past the post to the blog but never get around to doing that.

I switched my comment management over to HaloScan. I can edit or delete specific comments, or even ban the spammer's IP. And it's free.
Downside: On initial install, it deletes all previous comments, but only the one time.
I could just use Word
That's what I've been doing all along. Works well, except I have to tweak the formatting a little. It really doesn't add too much time overhead, plus I can save all my stuff in case blogger ever goes away, or I switch blog hosts.
Sorry to go OT! ;-)
